Your name comes up and always ends with a better come back soon, people miss you. I've been trying to get intouch with you b t the people at Columbian (think that's how you spell it) just won't put me through. Just hang in there and start to eat, it hurts but u just have to force yourself. You were always there telling people that life is what you make it. You have been ther to put smiles on people faces and you have been there to make sure everything went good. Don't let it end. Get better man and if you need to talk I'm always here and so is many people ex. astrid really misses u and so does the group or what's left of i . I miss having someone around to play cards with and just talk about general life. Get better soon. Kane

Just found your site and want to wish you well! My 17 year old daughter, Tasha, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma last October - in her left leg behind the knee. It hadn't spread thank God. She went through 2 rounds of Doxorubicin and Cisplatin - unfortu ately these only slightly helped the cancer, she was due for a third round but they decided not to waste time on that and to do the prothesis surgery. She was in hospital for about 12 days over Xmas last year - but the op went well and all the cancer was removed. (the tumour was about the size of an orange and they reckoned it had been growing for about 18 months! and we hadn't known anything about it!) Three more rounds of Ifosamide and Etoposide followed (Tash had GCF injections to try and keep her bloo s up). Tash was pretty ill through this - we'd just get home from chemo and then end up in hosital again with infections. HOWEVER in March this year her oncolist said enough - NO MORE CHEMO!! Today, and we take each day and check up at a time, she is we l - back at college her hair has grown back with beautiful thick dark curls, she walks like you'd never know anything had happened (like shes got a titanium leg!)and can even run, and is living life to the full! I hope that helps - when Tash was first diagnosed all we ever wanted was to meet someone who had made it through rather than meeting people going through it or it coming back - we wanted positive stuff!!! We were lucky and met a couple of people and on T esday we were up at the hospital for a check up and we met some people just starting out and they said seeing Tash made them feel much more positive. Overall its been a mind numbing experience but has taught us to live each minute of each day and really understand what is valuable in life. Good luck for your future - we'll keep an eye on this site now and follow your progress - our thoughts will be with you. Colette

Seth, I'm sorry the last round of chemo hit you so hard. It's evil stuff! Just keep looking forward to the day you will be done with all of this. Oh what a good feeling that is! I kept asking my chemo Dr. if they could just sedate me for the 4 days I got chemo, and wake me up when it was over, but that got a big "NO". Guess they want us to be able to enjoy the stuff. I hope the next few rounds of chemo go smoother, and that you're feeling better every day.

Hi Seth, I know what you are going through because my son, David is a osteosarcoma Survivor. He went through lots of chemo and all the surgeries like you. I want you to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, David is now in remission and is fu ly recovered and looks great! He is now 16 and works part-time at a resturant in town. He bought himself a 1996 Camaro and is currently out tonight (having fun I'm sure). Now some motherly advice from one who has been there...please listen to the Docs nd Nurses, give yourself some time for your hip to heal, once you are off all the chemo you will be amazed on how fast your body will heal, it took David a while too, but now you wouldn't know what he's been through by just looking at him. I will keep yo in my prayers and will check back once in a while to see how you are doing. Feel free to e-mail me anytime if you have any questions. God Bless, Kathy

Hi Seth! Now that you're on the road to recovery remember to take it slow and allow your body to heal. The impatience you feel is another dart from the devil, he never lets up. My 22yr old daughter is also a cancer survivor, now waiting for her voice to come bac after a thyroidectomy. Remember: Patience is a virtue :) Although we don't know the reason for your suffering, we do have this promise: Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. I wish you the best as you fight this preventative journey. I have Ewings sarcoma, I'm 23 and I have 4 more weeks of radiation and 4 more treatments of chemo and I'm FREE!! Keep the humor, that's great, that's how I've stayed sane too. If you ever need to talk to someo e who knows just how bad it is, contact me. I'd be honored. Take care, be strong, and laugh alot!
